Angela C. Howell wears many hats on a regular basis—musician, actress, vocalist, composer, writer, conductor, teacher, director, and producer. Angela has been very fortunate to meld her multiple skills into a profession in New York City.

Angela has had a long career in the arts and worked as an actress all over the United States and beyond. She is quite thankful to have been granted many opportunities therein.
She started acting at Heidelberg Theatre while obtaining her first double-major degree in Communications / Theatre Arts and Vocal Performance, minoring in Vocal Pedagogy. After touring, much summer stock and a residency at Playwrights Horizons, she further honed her acting chops while getting an MFA in acting at the University of Connecticut.

Young Lucy in Sweeney Todd (Goodspeed Opera House), Aunt Bessie in A Child's Christmas in Wales (New Jersey Shakespeare), Deborah in Warsaw (CAMI Hall), Vicki in The Full Monty (Arkansas Rep), Petra in A Little Night Music (Connecticut Rep), Mary Jane in James Joyce's the Dead (Capital Theatre), Katarina in The Taming of the Shrew (Colonial Theatre), Laverne in Sisters of Swing (Pennsylvania Center Stage), Mopsa in The Winter's Tale (Lincoln Center), ... to name a few. In 1999, was cast as Vi Petty in The Buddy Holly Story at the Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia. She has since put on Vi's shoes a few other times, including the 2000 Broadway Tour, a return to Walnut Street in 2012 and productions at Westchester Broadway Dinner Theatre and North Carolina Theatre (both productions for which she also served as musical director). She is also known for her portrayal of Jo Carlson in Cowgirls, which she first performed at Alabama Shakespeare Theatre and then the Florida Studio Theatre.
